Nucleus Holdings SCA

Nucleus (Holdings) SCA is a Luxembourg "Société de Participations Financières", incorporated in January 2005 as a Limited Partnership (« Société en Commandite par Actions »).

It is a private equity financial services investment holding company focusing on the Life Insurance sector, and it controls, directly or indirectly, a number of entities, ranging from Life Insurance to insurance Distribution.

The company is managed by a qualified team of expert; the Limited Partners (“Associés commanditaires”) are a Liechtenstein Life insurance company and Versailles III Insurance Investment Fund (www.versailles3.lu/?page=about_ver&taal=2), a Luxembourg SICAV SIF.

This is in 2009, because of the crisis and a subsequent change in strategy that the company was renamed Nucleus (Holdings) SCA and made its first acquisition in life insurance: Asco Life SA (Antwerp).

After a successful merger with a Belgian mortgage banking operator and two years of re-organization, the company known as Patronale Life SA had build a sizeable book of business with a few innovative products.

Nucleus (Holdings) SCA then sold its participation in Patronale Life SA at a profit in 2012 to the Belgian majority shareholder.

During the course of 2011-2012, Nucleus (Holdings) SCA made several investments, Quantum Leben AG, IBS Europe SA, Plenum Life AG rebranded as Nucleus Life AG, etc.
